Lee C. Fine Memorial Airport
Master Plan Update

An Airport Master Plan is a comprehensive planning document that provides guidelines for incremental development of an airport based on the present and future aviation needs of a community and region. The development of a Master Plan is being coordinated with the appropriate regulatory and governmental agencies, airport personnel, and community citizens groups. This Master Plan is being developed to best enhance and complement the growth of the communities served, protect the environment, and be compatible with the land use patterns of the airport area. The previous Master Plan for the Lee C. Fine Memorial Airport (AIZ) was completed in 2008. This Master Plan is being developed due to the numerous changes in the aviation industry, both locally and nationally. The general objective for this Master Plan is to evaluate AIZ’s role in the aviation system, analyze the potential for growth over the next 20 years, and ensure that the facility will be able to accommodate future aviation demand safely and securely in the Lake of the Ozarks area.
