Lorain County Regional Airport

Master Plan Update

An Airport Master Plan is a comprehensive planning document that provides guidelines for incremental development of an airport based on the present and future aviation needs of a community and region. The previous Airport Layout Plan (ALP) and Master Plan for Lorain County Regional Airport (LPR or the Airport) was completed in 2003. Due to the numerous changes in the aviation industry, both locally and nationally, it was time for a new Master Plan. The general objective of this Master Plan is to evaluate LPR’s role in the aviation system, analyze the potential for growth over the next 20 years, and to ensure that the Airport’s facilities will be able to safely and securely accommodate future aviation demand at LPR.

This Master Plan is currently in development and chapters will be posted below as they become available. All chapters are currently DRAFT until final approval by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
